You can leave a legacy. As an actor, you get to touch people whom you’ve never met and will likely never meet.
I wish you the fun of getting fan mail and requests for autographs. There’s nothing like it. Allowing yourself to feel the respect, attention and even love from your fans is a feeling most non-civilians could never experience like you.
So as 2016 is upon on, take a moment to ask yourself: What do I want my legacy to be?
Do you think Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg asked this? This sure as hell did. And now they are creating it in ways that are meaningful to them, beyond their products and into their Foundations.
2016 can be your best acting year ever. All you need to do is build the opportunities you’ve never had before.
This article pays tribute to Alan Rickman, whom we recently lost. As Professor Snape, he touched an entire generation of humans across the globe. His legacy goes farther.
